Becoming Mum,
The Drag Queen

This short documentary marks my directorial debut. Created as part of Filmonik’s Kino-Kabaret challenge in partnership with the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival, the team was given just 72 hours to produce a documentary under five minutes. The completed film premiered at Hoyts, screening to a sold-out audience of 70 attendees.

This film follow's Jules as she becomes Mum the Drag Queen, and understanding her relationship with Drag as an AFAB Queen (assigned female at birth).
